A Quiet Place To Set Things Down
Creea takes its name from the Gaelic word cridhe, meaning heart.
At the heart of Creea is a simple idea: that your experiences, feelings and perspective matter.
Grief, relationships, identity, endings, beginnings and everything in between. Sometimes we know exactly what's brought us to counselling. Other times, something just doesn't feel quite right.
Whether you're navigating a significant loss or life change, feeling anxious or overwhelmed, questioning something about yourself or simply looking for somewhere to talk things through, we can start with whatever brings you here.
A little about me…
Hello, I'm Ruth, the counsellor behind Creea.
Before training as a counsellor, I worked in the music industry, PR and financial services. I understand the pressures of fast-paced work and how closely what we do can be tied to who we are.
Much of my experience has been in bereavement services, including charity and hospice settings. I also work with anxiety, relationships, identity, career pressures and the changes we go through in life.
My approach is person-centred. I believe you are the expert on your own experience, and I offer a space to explore it without judgement.
What To Expect in Our Sessions
01. A chance to connect
We can start with a free 15-minute online consultation. It's an opportunity to ask questions, tell me a little about what brings you to counselling and see whether working together feels right.
02. A space that's yours
Our sessions last 50 minutes and offer a confidential, non-judgemental space to talk openly, at your own pace. There's no pressure to know where to begin or have the right words.
03. Working together
My approach is person-centred, which means you lead the way. We can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences together, with curiosity, care and without judgement.
04. At your own pace
Counselling with Creea is open-ended, with regular opportunities to reflect on how things are going. There's no fixed timeline or expectation of where you should be.
